A collection of photos depicting the boxes at Wigan Wallgate, Burscough Bridge, Parbold and Rainford Junction. Wigan Wallgate box has since been fitted with a new panel in place of the frame.

After the recent signal box fire all but destroying the GN box at Gainsborough Lea Road i thought i'd put up a few archive images! I went to Lea Road on several occasions to record the crude oil trains from the adjacent sidings.

A small selection of trains and signal box views from the Southport area taken in the 1970's.

I assume these are from Bedford St Johns box prior to closure of the old station and the stub to Goldington power station.

A recently acquired set of both brass and plastic lever plates from Market Harborough. From the style the brass ones are of LMS not MRCo origin.

A collection of photos showing the trains and signalling of the North Nottinghamshire coalfield from Shireoaks Jn to Shirebrrok and the branches out towards High Marnham. Welbeck, Whitwell, Ollerton Colliery and Shirebrook station boxes have closed, the branch to Bevercoates is no more, the collieries at Clipstone and Creswell are closed, the power station at High Marnham has closed mothballing the branch from Thoresby, many changes since the 1990's!

A small collection of a few of my Scottish signalling pics. I visited Carmuirs, Cumbernauld, Greenfoot and Garnqueen before resignalling. A few Stirling shots too.

A collection of photos showing the ex GCR mainline from Sheffield-Worksop and the SY Joint line. A few visits were required for these photos and bad weather reigned supreme!
